Mostly cloudy skies can be expected for this evening with periods of very light snow or snow showers after 9 pm and the very light snow could persist during the overnight hours.  A trace to 2 inches inches of snow can be expected for most of northern New Jersey with the highest amounts across portions of western Passaic and Sussex Counties.  The evening lows will be in the mid to upper 20's.

A weak area of low pressure is also expected to move through the region from the southwest this evening and during the overnight hours.  Mostly cloudy skies can be with periods of very light snow or snow showers after 9 pm and the very light snow could persist during the overnight hours.  A trace to 2 inches inches of snow can be expected for most of northern New Jersey with the highest amounts across portions of western Passaic and Sussex Counties.  The evening lows will be in the mid to upper 20's. 

Low pressure will move away from New Jersey tomorrow and an area of high pressure will build into the region from the west and northwest.  The skies will be cloudy early in the morning with any snow coming to an end then it will become partly sunny and it will be breezy and cold with highs in the low to mid 40's for most of northern New Jersey.  Tomorrow evening will be partly cloudy and it will be breezy and cold with lows in the mid 20's. 

An area of low pressure will begin to approach New Jersey from the southwest on Saturday and the low could bring a variety of precipitation into the region depending on it's exact track.  The skies will become mostly cloudy with snow developing in the afternoon and it will be cold with highs in the low to mid 30's for most of northern New Jersey.  Periods of snow can be expected for Saturday evening and the snow could mix with sleet or freezing rain and possibly change to all rain during the overnight hours.  It will be a cold evening with lows in the mid to upper 20's.  Up to 6 inches of snow could fall across most of northern New Jersey. 

Low pressure will move to the northeast and east of New Jersey on Sunday and a cold air mass will begin to build into the region from the northwest.  Rain or a wintry mix could persist for most of the daytime hours and it all could switch back to snow for a little while before ending by very late in the afternoon.  The daytime highs will be in the low to mid 30's but it will become colder.  The skies will become partly cloudy Sunday evening and it will be blustery and bitter cold with lows in the mid single numbers for most of northern New Jersey.

High pressure accompanied by bitter cold Canadian air will move through northern New Jersey from the northwest during the daytime and evening hours on Monday.  The daytime skies will be partly to moslty sunny and it will be blustery and bitter cold with highs in the lower teens for most of northern New Jersey.  Monday evening will be mostly clear and bitter cold with lows in the mid single numbers for most of northern New Jersey.
